All Souls sponsors a number of fund-raising, community-building
and social programs throughout the year. Currently,
our two major fund-raising programs are. . .
Christmas Fair
Held on the first weekend in December, we celebrate
the Advent Season, preparing for Christmas, by having
a wreath and ornament sale on the lawn in front of the
church. We offer hot cider, coffee, tea and other refreshments
for sale. This activity is coordinated with a Stony
Brook Village celebration. |

Early Summer All Souls Family Yard Sale
In June we sponsor a yard sale,
held in front of the church. Parishioners and
friends and neighbors donate all sorts of items
including furniture, books, kitchen gadgets, toys
and baby items, clothes and much else. The whole
church family pitches in to set up, sell items
and clean up afterwards.
Both of our fund-raisers are
also important social occasions for our church
community! |

Anglican Chant
Project
A number of parishioners are seeking to explore
the rich heritage of Anglican chant and incorporate
some of this beautiful music into the services.
Our organist, Dan Kinney, is assisting the group
in finding accessible musical pieces and instructs
interested parishioners on the techniques of reading
the music.
Other social activities include dinners around
Advent and Ash Wednesday, Wine Tastings, picnics
to celebrate the beginning and end of summer and
a special celebration - Fun Day - to note the
end of our church school year in June.
We
welcome new ideas! |
